Most workers have been told the Quality Standards changed. Far fewer have been told what that means for what they actually do between 7am and 3pm.
This module does not walk through all seven Standards outcome by outcome. That document exists, it is public, and we link it at the end. What this module does is tell you which Standards apply to you, what each one is really asking for, and where the wording gets misread.
How this module works Read the content straight through. It takes most people around an hour. Then complete the quiz at the end. You need 80% to pass, and your certificate appears on screen immediately. The quiz is open book, there is no time limit, and you can reattempt as many times as you need.
Currency statement and scope This module reflects the position as at August 2026. The Aged Care Act 2024 and the Aged Care Rules 2025 commenced on 1 November 2025, and the strengthened Quality Standards applied from that date.
Which Standards apply to your provider depends on its registration category and the services it delivers. Standards 6 and 7 are intended to apply only to residential care homes. Standard 5 applies where clinical care services are delivered. Your provider knows its categories; if you are unsure which apply to you, ask.
